Mini Biography
Spent ten years earning his Bachelor's Degree from Wichita State
University. Wrote many of his
screenplays either during class or while at work at a Wichita area liquor
store. Lon feels he has learned
much at college that can be crammed into his screenplays but overall feels
that college was a
dissapointment. Lon has been a filmmaker since the 8th grade when
he first began shooting spoofs of
Saturday Night Live recruiting his sister Leslie.
His first "real" movie was McKillum
Hall a short horror film
shot in 1993 during his freshman year at the University of Kansas.
His first "real-real" movie was The
Handkerchief
a 1999 short silent film collaboration with his brother-in-law and filmmaking
partner Nick J.
Engle.
Strongly believing in nepotism Lon has involved his wife, children, sisters,
and in-laws into his
film projects.

Lon's movies often reference either Star Trek or Guinness.
They almost always have an appearance by
Kirby O'Donnell (the character he often plays) and/or has a scene that
takes place at McNamara's
